Hi all!

We had a fun 4th of July "holiday". Randy & I ran up to KC to see Lily. He took in a Royals game while Lily & I nosed through some FLEA MARKET shops in Historic West Bottoms. Lots of cool stuff!

I saw old quilts & quilt tops, no fabric, some sewing machines. Lots of cool "repurposed" creative stuff, like a sewing machine turned into a lamp!

Driving south on I-35 Sunday evening, lots of people were parked on overpass roads hoping to catch of glimpse of some of the KC Airshow.

I don't know what was the biggest draw, the Navy's Blue Angels or the local KC FORMATION.

Know someone who loves an AIR SHOW? You could start with a panel, make a simple "picnic quilt" that they can use to lay out and watch a good air show or fireworks display!

The KC Formation, very popular at local airshows, could have been the inspiration for FLIGHT SCHOOL from Running Doe Quilts.

Check out our model and our KIT AVAILABLE by clicking here.

Always known for our diverse selection, we also have "cute" airplane fabric.

The red is from Moda's ON THE GO!

The yellow and blue ones are from Windham's FAVORITE THINGS.

Last week Aurifil Threads published an interview with retired NASA astronaut and active hobbyist, Dr Karen Nyberg. Fascinating, you can read it for yourself here.

Karen spent 6 months on the International Space Station, among other things, and has a collection of photographs that continue to inspire. We look forward to her upcoming fabric collection EARTH VIEWS, coming later from Robert Kaufman.

Meanwhile, read her story, and be inspired!

We've got a few "spacey" fabrics that might help.

and SUPER FRED, which includes some glow-in-the-dark elements.

Again, all about diversity, check out our awesome WILDLIFE fabrics.
Sylvia, who helps manage our stock of PANELS (100s of them!) recently learned that one of her grandsons is very interested in wolves.

That's all it took for the grandmother to jump into action and make him a wolf quilt with one of our newest panels!

MAJESTIC WOLVES from QT fabrics is digitally printed, very detailed artwork. Beautiful!

Today is FRIDAY, which means FACEBOOK LIVE at 1 pm Kansas time.
Kirsten & I will be featuring a cute wildlife inspired group. Join us on FaceBook.

Tomorrow is SECOND SATURDAY. Our FREE CLASS is once again open to anyone. There may only be standing room available, but the more the merrier!

Please use the back door to enter. We'll open the door at 8:45 and stay open for just 10 minutes. Closing at 8:55, I'll start my program at 9.

You'll be able to get your door prize ticket and coupon (by showing your finished block) in the classroom.

We're limiting the late entries, as we'll also be Zooming live. Those enrolled have that link. Everyone is welcome to attend the in-store class, see some new stuff, learn some new techniques and be inspired! We'd love to have you!

I'll be showing more of my new favorite NOTIONS!
