Happy Snowy Friday! Happy end of Spring Break here in Newton! As I finish writing this, it is still pretty dark.

Another remarkable week, in all it's weirdness, ends with snow.

Starting the week, this Time Change thing is always a "thing". Now Congress has decided to make it one of their "things". uh oh.

Yesterday I read that the last time Congress decided to stop the time changing, the "People Hated It". It was 1974 & I was in my first year of college. The article says that the dark winter mornings changed peoples' minds. I was in Madison WI. ( All I remember from that winter is the cold, not the dark.) Then Congress repealed the new law before it even went into affect. oh well.

Looking ahead to next fall, no matter where the sun is in the sky, there will be a CENTRAL KANSAS QUILT SHOP HOP.

A snowy morning is the perfect time to announce the CKQSH for 2022.

It will run October 6 - 15. Nine shops, 10 days! And there will be extended hours, both light & dark!

The theme is VINTAGE CHRISTMAS! Don't you love it?!

We'll reveal exclusive fabrics in a while, so stay tuned!

We are loving the artwork in this BORDER STRIPE. Sometimes it is hard to see on the shelf. Here's a "combo" photo showing the bolt together with the 45-inch repeat. There are 4 of the same stripe available across the width, perfect for a quilt border.

These border stripes can be used in many creative ways, not just as borders.

Nice use of the STRIPE, and also coordinating panels and prints.

A customer left one of these bolts of COLOR THEORY by Carrie Bloomston lying open across the fabrics. It caught my eye, and next thing you know I had more out, my mind was racing.
